So who would have thought that “League of Legend’s” could actually get you pawned or some sort. A man in Taiwan was found dead inside an internet shop, victim was said to be playing “League of Legends”.
As reported, it took a couple of hours before the staff of the shop noticed the dead man’s body inside their café, death was caused by prolonged hours of playing the said RPG game in the said shop in Taiwan.
Crew of the café didn’t notice that their patron died not until they sought to tell the client of due 23-hour gaming pass which it purchased earlier. The victim was identified Chen Jung-yu, 23 years old was found dead in his occupied cubicle, Wednesday night. Investigators pointed out that he died 10-hour earlier before he was found lifeless – as reported by the city’s renowned news paper.
Authorities told Taipei Times that they were taken aback by the scene when other customers cared less about the dead person, instead they continued played on with their games during the investigation. (People there are really video games addict.)
A picture of the cadaver was posted in the news papers’ webpage, showing the dead person with arms outstretched seems reaching the keyboard of the desktop computer. Investigation showed that the corpse was in the same position since 3pm Wednesday afternoon which he died and was found ten hours later.
Authorities also stressed that Chen must have been playing his game “League of Legends”, a 3D MMO game for a prolonged time without resting. Family of the victim also told investigators that the victim was treated for a heart ailment in September of last year.
In recent years, marathon playing of video games has been a caused for several deaths. In 2005 BBC news reported a man from South Korea who is 28 years old, dropped dead after playing “Starcraft” in an Internet Café for 50 straight hours.
In September of 2007 Fox News also reported a Chinese man who died in exhaustion caused by a marathon of video games for three straight days.
In the said cases, Police authorities said that the victims played their games non-stop without sleep, rest and food.

Probably died of an aneurysm or heart palpitation. It's honestly not surprising - there have been similar cases in a lot of other asian countries, and it's sort of sad how callous and oblivious people can be sometimes.
